Local Tech Firm with a Nationwide Client Base Celebrates its\u00a0Rebirth as an Independently-Owned Company<\/em><\/p>\n Cedar Rapids, IA\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 (April 8, 2016) \u2013 TitanTV, the foremost provider of data and real-time scheduling tools to the broadcast television industry, recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house at its headquarters at 300 Collins Road NE.<\/p>\n The event, held on March 31st<\/sup>, commemorated TitanTV\u2019s recent emergence as a stand-alone company, dedicated to developing, marketing and supporting its own products. Guests attending the open house included Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett, Iowa State Senator Liz Mathis, and members of the Cedar Rapids Economic Alliance.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s really the small businesses that make up the heart and soul of the community,\u201d commented Cedar Rapids Mayor, Ron Corbett.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n TitanTV creates innovative, powerful tools that enable television broadcasters to maintain their stations\u2019 schedules efficiently and economically.\u00a0 The company\u2019s products are used by stations in every television market across the country.<\/p>\n The company\u2019s history traces back more than 20 years when it was founded as Decisionmark, creating software that allowed marketers and advertisers to analyze census data.<\/p>\n Television stations wanting to learn more about their viewers were among the company\u2019s earliest clients. As the association with broadcasters deepened, Decisionmark\u2019s focus shifted from census data to development of patented tools that the company\u2019s client base of over 1,000 stations rely on daily.<\/p>\n In 2007, Decisionmark was sold to a New York-based investment group and the company\u2019s name was changed to TitanTV Media.\u00a0 Three years later, the company was purchased by Broadcast Interactive Media (BIM) in Madison, WI.\u00a0 TitanTV\u2019s development and sales staffs remained in Cedar Rapids and operated as a business unit of BIM.<\/p>\n On November 13, 2015, TitanTV, Inc. was sold to an independent owner.
