This hands-on leadership role ensures that internal systems, cloud infrastructure, networks, security controls, business continuity, and technology vendors effectively support employees, products, customers, and long-term business objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IT Director develops and executes technology strategies aligned with the company\u2019s strategic plan while maintaining secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective systems. The position leads and manages the Information Technology team while remaining actively involved in technical operations, troubleshooting, implementation, and problem resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IT Director oversees the acquisition, implementation, integration, documentation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of technology infrastructure, hardware, software, and third-party services. Leadership<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Develop and maintain the company\u2019s long-term IT strategy and technology roadmap.<\/li><li>Identify and implement technology solutions and processes that improve security, reliability, productivity, efficiency, and customer service.<\/li><li>Lead, manage, mentor, and develop IT staff.<\/li><li>Establish IT priorities and manage projects, resources, timelines, and departmental workload.<\/li><li>Develop and manage annual IT operating and capital budgets.<\/li><li>Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions appropriate for the company.<\/li><li>Communicate significant technology initiatives, risks, system issues, cybersecurity concerns, and recommendations to executive leadership.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Infrastructure &amp; Technology Operations<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Oversee the operation, maintenance, performance, availability, and security of networks, servers, cloud environments, endpoints, communications systems, and other technology infrastructure.<\/li><li>Maintain reliable and scalable infrastructure supporting SaaS products, employees, customers, and business operations.<\/li><li>Provide hands-on technical support and escalation for complex technology issues.<\/li><li>Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability, and system health.<\/li><li>Oversee technology upgrades, migrations, replacements, integrations, and infrastructure projects.<\/li><li>Maintain accurate inventories and lifecycle plans for hardware, software, licenses, accounts, domains, certificates, and other technology assets.<\/li><li>Ensure critical technology resources and administrative accounts remain under appropriate company ownership and control.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Cybersecurity &amp; Risk Management<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Develop, implement, maintain, and periodically review cybersecurity strategies, policies, procedures, standards, and controls.<\/li><li>Ensure systems and networks follow appropriate security practices and applicable regulatory, contractual, and customer requirements.<\/li><li>Oversee identity and access management, privileged access, multi-factor authentication, password policies, and access reviews.<\/li><li>Manage technology-related employee onboarding, role changes, and offboarding, including account provisioning, equipment, permissions, and access.<\/li><li>Oversee vulnerability management, security patching, endpoint protection, monitoring, logging, and other cybersecurity controls.<\/li><li>Evaluate the technology environment for security vulnerabilities and operational risks and develop remediation plans.<\/li><li>Lead responses to cybersecurity incidents, data loss events, system compromises, and other significant technology incidents.<\/li><li>Coordinate employee cybersecurity awareness and training.<\/li><li>Support customer, partner, and vendor security questionnaires, audits, due diligence, and contractual security requirements.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Business Continuity &amp; Disaster Recovery<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Develop, document, maintain, and periodically test business continuity and disaster recovery plans.<\/li><li>Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures for critical systems and data.<\/li><li>Define recovery priorities, objectives, system dependencies, and responsibilities for critical systems.<\/li><li>Conduct recovery testing to verify backups and restoration procedures function as intended.<\/li><li>Identify technology-related single points of failure and develop plans to reduce business continuity risks.<\/li><li>Ensure documentation and procedures allow critical IT operations to continue in the absence of individual employees or vendors.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Documentation &amp; IT Governance<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Maintain comprehensive documentation of the technology environment, including infrastructure diagrams, configurations, administrative procedures, vendor information, licensing, backup and recovery procedures, and security processes.<\/li><li>Ensure IT documentation is maintained in secure, centralized, company-controlled systems and is accessible to appropriate personnel.<\/li><li>Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, operating procedures, and technology-related employee policies.<\/li><li>Maintain records of system changes, configurations, incidents, technology assets, and administrative responsibilities.<\/li><li>Periodically review IT processes and controls for improvement and risk reduction.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Vendor &amp; Third-Party Management<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Evaluate, select, and manage technology vendors and service providers.<\/li><li>Manage technology contracts, software licensing, subscriptions, renewals, service agreements, and vendor relationships.<\/li><li>Monitor vendor performance, service levels, costs, security practices, and business continuity risks.<\/li><li>Maintain an inventory of critical third-party technology providers and understand contingency options for service disruptions.<\/li><li>Participate in vendor negotiations and purchasing decisions to ensure appropriate value, functionality, security, and reliability.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Collaboration with Software Product Development<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Partner with the Director of Software Product Development on infrastructure, cybersecurity, deployment, availability, data management, monitoring, and related areas.<\/li><li>Establish clear responsibilities between IT and Software Product Development for production environments, infrastructure, applications, databases, security, monitoring, backup, and incident response.<\/li><li>Assist with infrastructure requirements for new products, services, integrations, and customer implementations.<\/li><li>Support secure, reliable, and scalable environments for SaaS products.<\/li><li>Participate in planning and response activities for incidents affecting customer-facing products or services.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Incident &amp; Service Management<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Lead or coordinate responses to significant technology outages and service disruptions.<\/li><li>Establish appropriate escalation and communication procedures for technology incidents.<\/li><li>Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and Software Product Development during significant incidents.<\/li><li>Conduct post-incident reviews and identify corrective and preventive actions.<\/li><li>Track recurring technology issues and implement solutions that address root causes.<\/li><li>Participate in critical after-hours technology incident response when necessary.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Qualifications<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Required<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Five to ten years of progressively responsible IT experience, including infrastructure, systems, networks, cybersecurity, or related areas.<\/li><li>Demonstrated experience leading IT operations and technology projects.<\/li><li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.<\/li><li>Working knowledge of network administration, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, identity and access management, endpoint management, backup and recovery, and business continuity.<\/li><li>Experience managing technology vendors, software licensing, contracts, and technology budgets.<\/li><li>Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<\/li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a small-company environment.<\/li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.<\/li><li>Demonstrated ability to create and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures.<\/li><li>Ability and willingness to perform hands-on technical work in addition to leadership and strategic responsibilities.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preferred<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Experience in a SaaS, software, technology, broadcast technology, or other technology-driven organization.<\/li><li>Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications and infrastructure.<\/li><li>Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, security audits, customer security assessments, or compliance activities.<\/li><li>Experience developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.<\/li><li>Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, Microsoft\/Azure, AWS, or comparable infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or project management certifications.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Performance Expectations<\/strong>: The IT Director is expected to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Maintain secure, reliable, documented, and supportable technology infrastructure.<\/li><li>Proactively identify and communicate technology and cybersecurity risks.<\/li><li>Ensure critical systems, processes, configurations, and institutional knowledge are appropriately documented and not dependent upon a single individual.<\/li><li>Maintain tested backup, recovery, and business continuity capabilities.<\/li><li>Establish clear ownership and accountability for critical systems and technology functions.<\/li><li>Maintain appropriate controls over company data, systems, administrative accounts, and technology assets.<\/li><li>Balance cybersecurity, reliability, functionality, cost, and business needs when making technology recommendations.<\/li><li>Build effective relationships across departments and with outside vendors and technology partners.<\/li><li>Continuously identify opportunities to improve the technology environment, cybersecurity posture, operational efficiency, and ability to support future growth.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>General Overview: The IT Director is responsible for the strategy, security, reliability, and day-to-day operation of the company\u2019s technology infrastructure.
