Winter Olympics 2026: Titling Specifications & Guidance
Posted on February 5th, 2026 by Karol Shepherd
As we prepare for the upcoming Olympics, we’d like to share important guidance regarding program titling in MediaStar. We have received the official event title—“Milano Cortina Winter Olympics 2026”—from Simply.TV. Please use this Global Program in MediaStar to ensure consistency across both your consumer-facing guides and your Comscore reporting.
For Comscore as-run reporting, do you need to split Olympics into blocks for ratings? No. It is essential that you do not split the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics programming into separate blocks. Comscore/TiVo will break out the programming according to NBC’s requirements after the data is submitted.
Consistent naming helps avoid discrepancies and supports clean, reliable data throughout the event and the Comscore ratings process.
If you would like to see how the ratings titling appears, you can reference Comscore’s Station Schedule report. This report shows the schedule Comscore receives from TiVo for historical dates and up to five days in the future, and it is updated daily. If you do not have access, please contact your Comscore Account Representative.
The easiest way to add these events to your MediaStar schedule is by using Import Mode. Simply select the events you’d like to add, then navigate to:
Actions > Import Events > Import All, Replacing Current Programming > Import Events.
